TRAFFIC SURVEY THURSDAY 25th MARCH 2010
The Parish Council are waiting to hear the date of the Local Development Framework (Core Strategy) Public Enquiry which could be as early as June 2010 and in readiness would like to undertake a traffic survey of the two roads which will serve the planned developments should they be passed, Rawreth Lane and Beeches Road/Watery Lane. Both these roads already suffer from congestion and very heavy traffic movement and the Council would like to have factual information as to how many cars use them each day to present to the Planning Inspector and before any further development is approved..
The Parish Council would like to do a survey of car movements along both roads over a twelve hour period, 7am to 7pm on Thursday the 25th of March 2010. We are looking for volunteers to help collect this information and basically all you need to be able to do is count and spare two hours of your day. It is planned to break the day into 2 hour shifts consisting of two people per shift, and we are planning to collect data from three points, the entrance to Rawreth Playing Fields, Rawreth Lane, the junction of Priory Chase and Rawreth Lane, and the junction of Chelmsford Road and Beeches Road, so thirty six people in total are needed
If you can offer your help please contact me by email clerk.rawrethparischcouncil@btinternet.com or phone 01268 631821 (please leave a message if the answer phone is on with your name and number and I will return the call) .
Thank you in advance and please spread the word to anyone who does not have access to the Internet. or those who do not live in the Parish but will still be affected should these developments be approved.
